Training for Independence programmes are for Adults who have received a traumatic brain injury and are wanting to restore and/or maintain their health and ability to participate in their wider community, reducing the likely need for further rehabilitation.
We have an interdisciplinary team of Rehabilitation Professionals and Coaches who can provide you with timely advice, education, support, rehabilitation and oversight services to help you achieve your goals in your own home, community or your work place.
Programmes may include:
- Training to be able to undertake domestic tasks, child care and access transport.
- Education about the impact of your injury and potential for quality of life.
- Introduction or re-introduction to community-based activities and teaching the skills to be able to access these activities safely and appropriately
